Just wondering if anybody out there has put their X on a dyno to see what the actual numbers are? My local club is renting a race shop this Saturday and for $50 I can pull 3 runs on a dyno, $80 gets me 3 pulls and wideband air/fuel and for $100 I can get 3 pulls with customer tunes and wideband air/fuel.

Really considering doing it. Especially since so many guys give me s*** over having a Nissan in my local club. My supercharged 3.3L will be going up against a bunch of 22RE yotas. No contest. ;) There might be a couple of big blocks but the 81" restriction is keeping a lot of them out of it.

I'm definitely thinking I'm going to do it. They cancelled it for this weekend and we are going to do it early to mid January. We are being given a discount if we have a certain number of rigs so they wanted to postpone it to get a few more guys to come along. One member is bringing his classic mustang and I may have my buddy with a not-so-legal mustang come up there just so we can get the discount.

OffroadX over on the NOAS boards did it in his N/A xterra and pulled 131 hp and 160 ft/lb torque and that's with no mods. More than what I would have thought. I'm guessing at best I may pull in the 150's at the wheel full boost but we will see.

I don't think that will be a problem. Glad I didn't put any money on this. Two guys are bringing their crawlers with street wheels on them so they will fit on the dyno. One of them is a jeep with a 4.6L stroker, another TJ with a 6.1L hemi and one with a 5.9L Magnum V8. They will blow me out of the water but at least I can look at them and say "yeah but mine came from the factory like this. how much did you spend?" lmao

Some guy did a couple months ago fi i remember right it was like 112hp with the naturally aspirated motor and the superchargers were only supposed to add 30 hp.. Some numbers I would like to see is if you could remove the front driveshaft and see the torque numbers in 4low.

as for the 4.6 stroker jeep, TRUCKS! tv on spike tv did one on their "cheap jeep" project, that thing was a joke, only laid down 130whp. as for a n/a first gen, i say about 130 hp and 170 tq. s/c, a bit more.

That is ridiculous! I missed that episode but I wonder what size tires they had on it? The guy in my club turned about 330hp with his stroker.

One guy had a 4Runner that he did a diesel swap on (6.1L I think) and he was turning 700hp and nearly 1100 ft/lb of torque. It was insane.

I didn't make it there to get mine on the dyno. I ended up nearly wrecking my X on the way there. Hydroplaned into a sloping ditch shortly after leaving my house and figured it best that I just turn around and sit this one out.

It won't happen now. It was raining like hell and that was when my steering was shot. I would hydroplane all the time. This time though it actually took me off of the road. Thankfully it was just a low sloping ditch that I basically skidded right through into a community college parking lot. Pulled the seat cushion out of my ass and headed home. lol
