Just recently noticed the heat was not working well, so I looked at the antifreeze level, and it was a quart low. Topped it up, and the heating problem went away.

Just had an Auto transmission job done (yes, got lucky) last year. Took it back to them, and there was no AF in the ATF. Rad is brand new. No leaks (puddles) under the vehicle.

Smell AF under the hood after driving, but not inside the vehicle.

Does it sound like the heater core?

Mine's an 01. I've noticed the same thing with mine for the past few years (since the head gasket was done). Coolant slowly goes down, sometimes smell it, never see it. However, engine just died so will be pulling it and putting in another one so will check for any issues. Did take it in a couple times and the shop was never able to find the problem.
