I know you can put 285/75/16 or 305/75/16= 33s tires with a melt mod. But can you fit 34s or 35s with a melt mod? And is the melt mod hard to do? Do you have to do it on all 4 tires or just the front 2?

The melt mod is for 33's, as you know. To fit 35's, you also would modify the sheet metal and/or do a BL.

The melt mod is easy though, a few minutes per side.

If you have 265/75/16's now (32's), a 33" tire has 1/2" more radius to hit the wells with.

Find something 1/2" thick, and pass it between your tire and the rest of the rig where the added radius might hit. You will quickly see that this is a minor issue.

A 35" tire has 1.5" more radius than your stock 32" tire though, so find something 1.5" thick to pass between the tire and stuff the larger tire might hit...and notice that what might hit now includes more stuff.

That will give you the initial perspective and understanding of what you are looking at.

Now drive one tire onto a log or rock, etc, so its compressed more into the wheel well...and re-assess how much room there is for the larger tire.

Notice the front tires are your main issue.

There is no melt mod for the rear.

:D
