I've searched around and can't find my exact symptoms anywhere.

Blowing warm air at idle and hwy speed

Compressor clutch engages and stays engaged.

Low side reading 35 with AC on and off.

High side reading very low with AC on and off.

From what I've read it's not the thermo switch and I was under the impression the clutch should engage and disengage periodically and the low pressure reading should change when the compressor engages.

So does this sounds like the compressor is bad or there is a blockage somewhere?

i do know that my clutch would not engage until i had enough freon in the system. not sure if that will help your situation, i have seen the psi on low side jump about 15psi when clutch engages and disengages. maybe it is some kind of saftey switch to protect the compressor. im no mechanic just sharing info and my thoughts.

So I'm thinking it could only be the expansion valve or the compressor. But I'm wondering if a bad expansion valve will completely close and stop all flow of freon? And if the compressor clutch is engaging but the compressor is bad wouldn't it make a grinding/squealing noise?
