i just recently traded my hb in for a 2009 xterra 4x4. i still have factory warranty left so i'm looking for anything wrong.i have 31000 miles on it.
sometimes when i brake i hear a soft pop or creak coming from front wheel area i think. reminds me of back in the day when you would hit the brakes on some 70-80s cars and the body panels or door hinge would give a lil pop. same kinda sound. the sound is farther foward though not hinge.i did notice last night when i turned and hit brakes it was a lil louder. i don't notice it when unless i'm going fairly slow. like coming to a stop or in a parking lot. weird. i guess i'm hoping someone else has had this. otherwise hard to pin down.

i also have a lot of noise coming from my brakes as you describe, but i am getting it more from the rears. i get it when i apply them at slow speed or release them. i am wondering if the pads are just wearing thin and i am hearing the calipers and such moving into place . . ..

water sound in passenger fender

sound like water sloshing inside rear part of front fender.
