Has anyone here ever rebuilt their alternator? Want a side job?

My 16 year old alternator is fading and I'd like to keep it but rebuild it and/or pay someone here experienced with this work to do it.

The output has dropped to 12.6 to 12.8, just enough to keep from killing my battery. I've been avoiding driving at night....

I pay shipping, I'll source the parts (diode/IC unit). I just want the stock unit back to 14 volts.

Or, can you recommend a place that will repair my stock unit and not send me a different unit back

Its really easy to replace the diodes ,if you can remove the alt you can replace diode pack no special tools needed .

Honestly, removing it is nothing to me. My engine access is a breeze since I built my electric fan setup. I want an alternator guy to rebuild, I don't want to do it but I want my original alternator back.
