alarm going off without cause

I have a 2000 xterra, and the alarm will go off for no reason. it did take a shot in the right quarter panel this winter, driving through so dakota, slid off the interstate with fully loaded utility trailer and trailer came around and smacked her by the gas door. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
