Immobilizer activated on my son's '07, so I had it towed to the dealership. They reprogrammed, but still won't start. Service guy calls and says it's the NATS antenna, that he can have one this afternoon and get me out of the door for $385!!! (already have $90 in the tow)

I'm relatively capable - not a pro mechanic, but I can do VC gaskets, brakes, etc..

I found the antenna online on average for $21.

Question: Can I do this myself? I can't find anything online about where it is located and/or how to replace it. Any advice is MUCH appreciated! BTW, just joined - we are in the Dallas area - just North in Denton.

I thought the nats antenna was a part of the ignition cylinder, if that is the case, not even as hard drum brakes IMHO

I can't find anything on how to do it yourself, so 385 I guess isn't that bad...makes me want to go buy a nissan scan tool that can reprogram stuff, even though I have the 1st gen, I might end up with a 2nd gen in the future...lol
