For some reason, sometimes my xterra will accelerate quickly (for a xterra) but than others times the acceleration is slow. What would be causing the acceleration to be inconsistent? Bit off topic but what would be the best way going about replacing all the hoses in the xterra? (I am doing a head gasket job and figured id replace the hoses while I am taking it all apart)

The throttle sensor maybe going bad.

LOL after reading that I felt really stupid. I mean, for some reason I didnt even think about it it being the "Throttle sensor". I was think more like bad Catalytic Converters or something. Another question for you, would the increase in performance be worth it to change out the factory cats with these?
