There is a 2004 Nissan Xterra for sale at a dealership near me. The vehicle has over 300,000 miles on it. This would be my first Nissan and they are asking 1300.00 The question I have is....Is the mileage to high for me to consider? Will an Xterra live to see 400,000 miles.

Thank you for any advice

My X will see that mileage for sure, but I won't be around when it hits the number. Death and taxes......

If a car can make it to 300k, it would seem it has been impeccably maintained and possibly a better choice than a car with less miles that may not have been maintained well.

My 2000 is currently sitting at 293,xxx. I tow a 16ft boat and a 16ft utility trailer with it weekly. Also a 18ft camper. With any vehicle if it was taken care of it will be fine in my experience. I paid 100 for mine at 245,xxx. Replaced the timing belt and have been driving it since. Basic wear and tear items replaced. All Maintance done on it by me. I've worked at nissan for 12 years now. It's not uncommon to see these with this type of mileage on them. I do not hesitate to take it on 3 hour tow trips for camping. I think I could easily get another 100k out of it.
