so unfortunately my Xterra's radiator let go and now my tranny is flushed with coolant, needless to say it shorted out my tcm/valvebody and it needs to be replaced, i have found a local truck being parted out but it is a 1st gen 2000, i wasnt sure if the tcm/valve body would be compatible with my 2007, if anybody can point me in the right direction of another thread or comment knowing if gen1 and gen2 tcm/valve bodies are compatible that would be great! Thanks, Afol2524

Assuming you've remedied the first issue already. As far as I am aware 2010 up Rad issues have been eliminated so you may want to seek out that year as a part not the older 2007 parts.

As for the TCM, i'd check Rockauto.com first and compare part numbers/info first to find your answer and just because of what it is, I'd have a hard time as someone who wrenches wanting to take a chance with one thats not new just for the shear purpose of eliminating another soon failure due to mileage or unknown circumstances. I'd buy new first.

just my $ .02
