2006 xterra rumbling hard

My 06 Xterra has been making quite a rumbling noise for a long time now its a lot louder then it used to be. The sounds and feels like its coming from the front, more on the left. It starts at about 20mph and stays steady up until 50 mph. around 50 mph it gets real loud. when i'm going 70mph it quiets down a little bit. I have checked the radiator fluid and it looked solid green. I am skeptical it may be the trans/radiator problem. Check engine light just came on for the first time a week ago. Haven't driven it much since then. 134k milage. Never had any bad trouble before with it. Just had the wheels aligned so its not that unfortunately. I had the transmission flushed not long ago as well as the radiator no one said anything about the fluids being weird. Here is a video of it http://youtu.be/Ms8BXewwlbQ.

Any ideas what this could be? Would the transmission/radiator problem give any codes?

Tires ok?
yeah they've still got some good life left on them
That doesn't mean you don't have internal damage / a belt coming apart causing an imbalance. Any tire bulges or blisters? Have you tried rotating them to see if the noise moves? Checked your wheels for damage and security? Any vibrations associated with the noise?
I'll take a better look at the tires tomorrow. The front left may be the one that i had repaired a while back so its possible to be damaged internally, not sure after all the rotations. Yes, every time you hear that noise "turn over" you can feel it almost under your feet in the front end and steering wheel.
It's hard to tell from your video, but that sound is similar to what I experienced driving mining vehicles that had a tar like substance put in the tires to keep them from leaking from thorn punctures. They were horribly imbalanced.

If that tire was repaired, there may be a heavy patch in there causing that "womp womp" noise (although they normally use plugs.) Maybe you lost a few weights.
I would agree. Probably one or more tires. It could also be an engine mount.
I vote wheel bearing.

Put the front tires on the rear to rule out the tires.

While you are at it, take a caliper off so the hub can spin freely and listen to the bearings. also check them for play.

I feel that the CE light is maybe unrelated to the noise.

I'll second that vote for wheel bearing. When they start to go, they sound like a rock crusher or bulldozer/grader/tank tracks. The wheel bearings on these Xterra's are absolute garbage. I had the front right one replaced under warranty on our '08 @50k miles. Just replaced the other front left one today @ 106k miles. You should be able to get it replaced for around $300-400 tops. Dealers will want north of $500 though. The part is under $200. This one was practically disintegrated. I'll say it one more time, absolute garbage. I know wheel bearings go once in a while, but not like that and not that often. Oh, both rear wheel bearings have also been replaced, thank god under warranty. Our X required a whole new rear axle assembly because of failed bearings.
I agree the CE light most definitely has nothing to do with the rumble, the rumbles been going on quite some time before the CE light came on. I appreciate the help so far, i'm going to try to get a tire rotation and keep track of where the front tires are put. That video iwashmycar posted sounds identical to the sound I am getting, so it is most likely the wheel bearings. I'll try the rotation first though. Theres only 2 recommended shops in town and they are busy today. Don't have my own tools here. Maybe tomorrow. Once my diagnostic reader gets in i'll have some code(s) for the engine, hopefully singular.
Just mention it to them and they can check the bearings for play when they have the truck in the air. Maybe ask to go out and spin the wheel and/or hub while they have it up just so YOU know for sure.

Yeah this is what I was referring to when I mentioned checking the wheels for security.

I had to replace the front wheel bearings on our Altima not too long ago. It made a horrible roar, but the noise was steady and never oscillated like what I thought I heard in the OPs video.
I had the tires rotated today didn't do anything. I was watching when the mechanic spun the front wheels, it took a little power to get them to turn but they kept spinning a little bit after he stopped spinning it. Gonna bring it by there next week and see if they can diagnose it better. Does $800-900 sound right for 2 front wheel bearing replacements parts/labor?? The 2 wheel bearings were about $550. They were ordering them from NAPA, i checked NAPAs website they list $242 per hub. Also, do I need the ones with the ABS sensors? I can bring my own parts, but the labor rate goes up a little bit. I see some places online with these assemblies for $140 a piece and less, I am assuming its not worth it to get the cheaper part.
That sounds ballpark right. I paid $370 this week to replace one front wheel bearing. The other one that the dealer replaced under warranty said it would have been $540. I expect that kind of markup for a dealership with everything they have to pay for, cover. Also, one has to take into consideration their location. Repairs here in Southeastern Michigan are going to be more than they would be in Northern Michigan because of labor costs, land and building costs, etc. I think if you are @ $400 each, that isn't bad.
finally had the mechanic test drive my xterra. he thinks it could possible be the front differential since there wasnt any play in the wheels. hopefully i can bring it soon to take apart and see whats going on. engine code was p0430, but it disappeared the other day with out me deleting it...
