I have found only one video showing the removal of the black fuel return line and it shows the dude lifting the two tabs and sliding it off, I tried this and mine does not want to come off, another video without actual demonstrations said to pinch the line with needle nose pliers, not the best description.

Is there anybody out there who has done this before, I have spent hours trying different ways, I am so pissed that I am about to cut the line and figure this thing out on the bench.

Thanks Ben for the reply with the sticky link. Information is same as other sites and videos, no detail on removing this fuel connector. So I called Car Quest to order the pump for me and it turns out the new pump comes with electrical connector and a new fuel line so looks like I will just cut out the old one and figure it out on the bench.
