My AC has kind of been on and off since I got it. I was always told to spray out the drain hose.

But now it has stopped blowing cold air all together. I don't drive it much, and the people that did/do are not much help to dial in exactly when the AC stopped working.

Right now I turn on the AC and all it does is blow hot air. I do not hear the compressor cycle on and off. I tried to add more coolant, but it read in the high zone so I didn't force more in there.

I had a radiator go out not to long ago, leaked water, engine temp spiked. Someone told me that the temp sensor could have gone bad and it is now causing the AC to think that car is to hot and not letting the AC kick on. New radiator, and the temp is always normal.

If there are any other sensors or common issues or suggestions out there I am open to them.

Thank you for your time,

Don

Troubleshooting guide in the Factory Service Manual:

I am not sure if there is a feedback loop between Engine Temperature switch and the A/C system on Gen 1s???

There is a pressure switch that if bad could prevent compressor from cycling on.

Low freon also will do that, and you can't get a true high reading until the compressor kicks on.
