Hi,
I've heard lots of conflicting opinions on this issue, but will 17" Titans (6X5.5) fit on my 1st gen 2002 Xterra?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Getting them on shouldn't be an issue at all. 17" clears the calipers plenty and as long as its a 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern you're good!

However, do you know the backspacing (BS) of the rims? Stock BS is 5.5" and it's a general rule of thumb that going below 4.75" BS with stock sized tires will result in rubbing w/out a BL (body lift).

2wd is easier then 4wd. If its a 4wd you have to get the centers bored out by a machine shop to 100mm to accommodate the hubs. To the point where the old hubcaps won't fit. On a 2wd you only need like an inch bored out, not all the way through.
