I have installed a new pump and high pressure hose on the Xterra and now the reservoir is looking like a kettle about to blow.
Do I just need to replace the cap?
Is there some sort of valve that I missed?
Do I just need to bleed the lines better?

I used Dextron VI as the PSF, but i saw that was recommended on other threads here.

It vents with the cap off. You need to jack the wheels off the ground and move the steering wheel from lock to lock to get all the air out. The air will bubble up through the reservoir.

If the squealing only happens when turning (not at idle or revving the engine) probably coming from the pump and may still have air in the system.

Could also be belt tension, bearings in tensioner/rollers.
