02 Bullbar On An 01?.... How...?

Here's my question to you:

Do you plan on taking your X offroad?

If you answer yes, then don't buy that or anything like a grill guard/bull bar. They kill your approach angle!!. And in the event of an accident, they auctually cause more damage because of being pushed up into the grill.

Now if you only plan on mall crawlin, and your looking for somewhere to put lights and biggest obstacle will be a speed bump, then by all means have at it and get one.

This is a 2x4 not a 4x4 so not going to climb any skyscrapers with it... And lite off raoding....My question was more about the appication. Its for a 2005 thru.... I got a 2001 so whats the diff in the mounting...

being thats its for an 05....no it will not fit at all.

Look into Westin, they have those types of bars.

exactly what i was going to say. there are bars like that for the 01, i almost got one for my 2000 but didn't. i dont see a point in buying one for a 2nd gen and modding it for a 1st when you can just pick one up thats made for the 1st gens.:duh:

There are many style bars like that on ebay for the 1st gen most of them being under $100... I would stick to one thats buit for the first gen instead of modding it to fit....
