Question Third row seat????

I have a 2007 xterra and I would like to put a third row seat. Has anyone done this or had any experiences to share?? I see the seats for order online, but the dealer says they do not carry them. Thanks!!

How does that even work? We talking just kid seats or something?

Traded in all my project cars for a new Xterra, not an ounce of buyers remorse. My build thread

Can you post a link? I thought only the Pathfinders and Armadas had 3rd rows...speaking of which, have any of you ever seen the 3rd row in a Pathfinder? I wouldn't put anyone I liked in that seat.

Same question was asked over at XOC, from the sounds of things this seems like a pretty dangerous modification. I even think the guy was planning on putting his kids back there.

There's a guy on Ronin that did this mod for a 1st gen.

I'm not sure how it's dangerous...but I guess they didn't expect people to be riding back there when they designed it though. Crumple zones and such probably a big issue about it.

Garage
The back of an Xterra was never designed to carry passengers. Any rear end collision would result in the death of anyone back there. Please do not do it. If you must have a third row sell your truck and buy something with a third row.

yea and plus the third row will have to sit higher then the other two rows without added head clearance

that area will crumple like a tin can if you roll over. not good for whatever/whoever is back there.

There is a company that makes them for the X's, but I wouldn't put anyone back there for the same reasons above. You can't put a price on safety.
