Well, after severly cutting my fingers on the wires for the basket removal and all those interesting events that happened on that day, I FINALLY got my PMLs done but I couldn't have done that without Justin's (Jdubbau02) help so thanks man!
Here's the X when it was stock.
Here's the X after the PML's.
I'm sure I'll be adding more pics later to this post as I add more mods in the future....but hope you enjoy it!
Just noticed something in the pics... you're going to want to leave that monstrosity of a trailer hitch behind. hahaha That thing will drag the rocks on your departures.
Am I seeing it right in the pics? That thing looks friggin' huge! lol
Haha, yeah you are seeing it right...its a monster! Actually, it extends about 3 foot long from the bumper...perfect for stopping any vehicles from hitting my rear bumper haha.
Tow a few several things from yardwork to lumber, etc....its just extended longer to prevent the trailer from hitting my sides when making a sharp turn and doubles as protection from rear end collision.
No additional lifts other than the PMLs.....Yet. Next is 2" BL but first, I gotta find somebody that knows how to do it, lol. Justin did say he had it on his mod list so maybe after working on his X, I might do mine then.
So the weather last weekend was really hot yet nice so I thought I would take advantage of that weekend and paint some of my plastics in my X. First, I decided that the back bumper was so badly faded and I got really tired of armoring it every 2 weeks so I just pulled it off and painted it black. I didn't get a before pic but I'm sure most of you know what a badly faded gray bumper looks like though.

While in the process of doing my rear bumper (in post above), I noticed that my plastic wiper cowl was badly faded too and same thing with the armor every 2 weeks, got tired of it so what I did was unclip the hood cover, take off the antenna, wiper arms, and popped those white clips, the cowl was a little bit tricky to pop off but with little patience and ease, it came off easily. I washed off the dust, dirt, grime, particles so it would be all clean upon painting, I used Joy with lift formula and it works just like 409.

Pic of the newly painted wiper cowls in black and installed back on the X:
Whole thing with the wiper cowls took about 3 hours maximum...the hot sun helped the paint dry fast.
Next day, put some armor on it to help seal the paint after drying out for 24 hrs, same goes for the rear bumper (post above).
The wiper arms are next on my mod list to be repainted gloss black!

If you dont care, I dont mind to come along and help out if needed and it'd be fun to see how its done, and maybe you guys could help me with mine after seeing how yours is done? Just let me know.
How many of you have radar detectors and have gotten really annoyed with those suction cups that keep falling off your windshield even during hot weather?
Mine kept falling off like every 2-3 days and I just got really frustrated so I fabbed up a mount with a few metal I found around here, and honestly, I gotta say I'm impressed with it.
Here's the pic:
Its stayed in its place and its really out of the way since its right under the rearview mirror so I am happy with it!
If you want a true mount for it, I found a company that does custom mounts for all types of peripherals (cameras, gps, radar detectors). They are here at the show that I'm doing in KC.
hey they also have mounts for a motorcycle radar detector... sweet.....
