Bad noise when backing up

I'm sorry if this has been covered before but all the responses to similar sounding problems don't quite sound the same as my probnlem.

When backing up, with the steering wheel turned all the way or nearly all the way, the front wheels clunk as if I'm running over a green pine cone or a baseball bat, or a stick or something. I can feel the front wheels "wiggle" and then clunk.

Any Help Out There?
Thanks, Glen

Check the steering stops. May be worn or broken letting it turn too far.
Otherwise you may want to get the wheel off the ground and shake/wiggle the wheel and see if the ball joints or tie rod ends are going bad.

I have noticed these things turn REALLY tight at full lock. You may just be able to turn too far.
