New to Off-Road Driving? Check here!

I'm still in the works of learning off-road myself so I figured I would share my reference with fellow noobs!

----------------------------------------------------------
>>> http://www.wittenburg.co.uk/OffRoading/Driving/ <<<
----------------------------------------------------------

This site covers:
  • Basic Skills
  • Traversing Slopes
  • Climbing Slopes
  • Descending Slopes
  • Snow Driving
  • Mud Driving
  • Sand Driving
  • Wading

It even has a whole section on, heaven forbid you need to do this, Recovery!

This site has been a huge help to me, hope it helps you all out, too!

*NOTE* It's a UK website so spelling is a little odd for some of us ("Tyre = Tire" & "Petrol = Gas" and other small things like that) Just a heads up!

Great site! I'll add a few I found as well:

http://www.offroadexperience.com/offroadguide1.htm

http://4wheeldrive.about.com/od/offr...eginner101.htm

Both sites have some good info for beginning offroad lessons.

Good links! I myself am amazed I have not done some serious damage to my X yet...only been offroad a few times and typically follow crazy people like Midget28 lol

I've never really known or read what the 'correct' strategy is...typically just winged it ad happy I haven't done something too stupid yet
