lol i don't hate on people who get mods from their parents or anything...my last car I had while in high school...my parents paid for much of the mods I had done, though I did pay for some of them...
couple college degrees later and my parents are happy to have me out of their house for good (hopefully)...so now I pay for all car related stuff...and typically try to NOT talk about how much i spend on my mods
Well, mommy and daddy got it for me as a high school graduation gift - deal was, they make the downpayment and the next 3 payments. I covered the pay off on my own. While getting my BS, if I needed help paying for services (I worked full time and went to school full time, doing it myself was not an option due to time) they would help. Other than that, it was all me. All the mods I've paid for (brush guard, lights, tail light guards, BFG KO's a few months after were from money where I sold my Jeep), and that's why some of the bigger ones are coming 7 years after getting my X.
My parents help out with my stuff from time to time. I have no problem admitting that lol. I'm a poor college student and I enjoy the help. I try to do the work as much as possible, but when Christmas or my birthday comes around, I always ask for something for my truck.
I have always paid for my own mods. Repair work though, while I was in highschool, they paid for. As soon as I graduated, even still living at home, it became my responsibility!
