copper spraying the headgasket or not??

Hey guys, i'm wondering if i should use copper spray gasket or the #1 form-a-gasket on the headgasket or just use it dry as is? Block deck and cylinder head surfaces will only be cleaned, not machined.
thanks

I wouldnt apply anything to the head gasket unless the fsm calls for it. It seems to me that it would just be a weak point for a leak to occur.

Why not get the head machined. It usually cost $100 or less for a good machine shop to do it.

X3 on no copper. If Nissan did not specify that you should do it then you should not do it.

Definantly. If your nail catches it then hell yeah. That right there is its own feeler gauge. Scratches like that are why you have it resurfaced. (other than it being warped)

I say if your going through the work to rebuild the motor spend the money to do it right...
