Xterra won't Start (possible PNP, fusible link or ECM)

Long time follower (unregistered), first time poster....

2001 Xterra SE 4x4 Automatic

I recently got back from deployment, jumped in the X and it was a little slow starting. I figured it was due to not being ran on a consistent basis while I was gone. No real issues for the last 2 or 3 weeks, then the day before thanksgiving it would not start (starter would not engage, solenoid clicking). Jumped it and ran fine, but I replaced the battery anyways (it was about 5 years old). Popped it in and started up no problem.

My wife took it to work and back, no issues. We took it to the dog park there and back no issues. Then went to run out a little later and it is dead.

Issues experienced so far...
Doors would not unlock using remote.
Initially heard a clicking by the brake pedal (possible PNP switch)
Interior lights would not shut off.
Rear wiper had a mind of its own (pulled the fuse on that no change)

Jumped it and runs fine. Left it running for about 10 minutes and everything seems to work fine.

Shut it off and could not restart it without a jump.

Other symptoms I have determined. Putting the key in and positioning to "ON" initially no problems (radio works, dash lights work) then the clicking by the brake pedal returns and the dome lights dim out. They go from dim to bright back to dim. No headlights or dash lights. When attempting to crank, nothing.

Unfortunately this did not happen until late this evening so this is all I have right now. Oh yeah, my battery measures at 12.65 Volts (connected and no keys in the ignition).

I am continuing to dig through my FSM to see what else could cause these problems.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Call off the dogs. I apparently overanalyzed the problem. After reading through many threads, I decided to go back to basics... loose positive connector.
