Changed spark plugs; now a hiss

Greetings,

I have a 2wd 2000 Xterra XE.

A friend helped me today by replacing spark plugs. Everything went well until the troublesome 6th plug which I had read about. An hour later, they were all installed so I drove it down the street to test. The only thing out of the ordinary I noticed was a new sound.. a hiss. In drive, there is a sound about every second, hiss. It's not a consistent hiss, but a definitive pause between each one.

Could the plug being loose or damaged which would create this sound?

Unfortunately it became night and we had to cease work until the morning. Anyone have ideas what could cause the new hissing sound?

This was resolved. Air intake boot clamp was loose at the throttle body causing intake air leak.
