Another mod checked off the list ~ painting bumpers/Aries brush guard

Just finished putting the 'new' bumpers back on. Now that I've gotten the hang of painting plastics we're on a roll. I decided to change up the front grille and will be adding a brush grille next weekend.

I have figured out that I like the Dupli-Color bumper paint better than the Krylon plastic paints. The Krylon flat black was too shiny. The other color is the Krylon Fusion cammo. Then I got a little crazy and pinted the solar yellow in the grille matching up with the yellow 'X" on Creepy's sticker.

Front bumper before.

Back bumper before.

Mud flap before.

Bumpers and trim painted Dupli-Color flat black bumper paint.

Front with grille going back on.

Back bumper finished. That's a reflection on the corner. The paint did cover 100%.

Front back on.

Full picture of front.

*** Added today, just couldn't wait.

Template made to make brackets. Found a never used brush guard for $60, but it didn't have any mounting hardware.

Bracket made for brush guard.

Other bracket with tow hook.

Mounted to frame.

Suggestions for lights?

Looks good! That's next on my list. Glad I have a nice warm garage to work in over the winter

Well it's still in the 70's here and a nice breeze out of the north. Hubby couldn't stand not getting the brush guard on so we're working on that now. Then my biggest challenge is going to be the radio and cb. I'm not electrically inclined, more like if it doesn't have 4 legs and go mooo I'll have to do a bunch of reading on it to understand it. Many thanks to everyone who post the DYI's.
