Recently i have noticed that my 2000 has been burning through gas like no other. I filled it up and tripped the tank and it went 233 which averages about 14-15miles which is expected, but then i filled up again and this time it barely lasted me nearly 180, any ideas of why it could drop so much, i have noticed this has been happening a lot lately and im sick of putting so much damn money into the gas tank every week.

had the same thing happen, ive just been driving VERY conservatively(which is hard because i'm typically a very agressive driver) and iv'e been using mystery oil in my gas tank, took off my wind deflector and basket, which stick up a good 5 inches above the roof..other than that, just try to stay off the skinny pedal, thats the problem i have...

That is a considerable drop. You want to start at Ignition and then move to air most likely. Either the plugs and wires are very bad or the air thats getting into the cylinder is not what it should be. Possibly badly worn tires/ unalignment?
There are tons of reasons why things could affect gas mileage.
yeah check your alignment, the 3.3l engines show anything out of order even the slightest, in the fuel economy. also how have you been driving, slow or fast, a lot of city? (more than usual) thats when i notice my mpg go down big time, i get so much better freeway mpg i use freeway if at all possible. go to walmart, and look for a box that says dura lube severe fuel system cleaner and put this in a full tank, then run the little bottle of the dura lube upper cylinder lube the next few tanks (little one looks like lucas bottle) the logo is red techno looking text on a black/yellow backround that stuff works wonders especially in the nissan 3.3l, seems to help most

Gas companies sometimes change formula. Winter gas has more butane and other things that kill mpg. I am commuting over 500 miles per week plus road trips so I picked up a used Mini Cooper S and spend less than $70/week now.
God this is getting ridiculous, i just filled up again and will clock it and see how well it goes, if nothing changes i need to find a new way of transport, my mod money is now turning into gas money.

the cold air we have been having latly could be hurting your milage.
1 cold air will contract, lowering the air pressure in the tires. an easy fix.
2 all vic get lower gas milage in the winter. cold air fuel mix changes etc. no fix.
3. do all the fun easy things oil air and fuel filter change.
I'm thinking you prob have done all this, but just saying.
