Locking Differential

Im about to purchase an 03 XE Model. Does it come with locking rear diff? If not, would it be easy to install, where can I find it, how much would it be? I live in NY. Any suggestions please? Thanks

It may come with an LSD (limited slip differential) but not a locker unless someone added an ARB unit. ARB air lockers can be found here.

But worth every penny, worth even more pennies if you install it yourself.

Right now ARB is the only option that is available to you, unless you want to lincoln lock it which I would advize against.

2004 XE Shrockworks front with winch, ARB Lockers front and rear, Calmimi steering, Sliders, 3inch SL, custom rear bumper w/tire carrier, bumper lights, custom roof rack, CB, Laptop mount, Sgt lobo, missing rear swaybar, Quest Alt, diff drop, Aux e-fan, Fuse block, tranny filter and cooler, axle truss and skid, Nismo cat back,Mile Marker hubs, Thorleys, 33's .

thanks evryone 4 being so helpful!

Will the ARB work better than automatic locks? Is there a proffessional or anyone from the NY/NJ area who can help me out with this? Thanks

OK4wd, 2621 State Route 57, Stewartsville, NJ 08886, put my rear ARB in after I ran the electric and air. Good place that can do the whole job as well as sell you the locker. They have put a few into 1st gen Xterras so they have experience.

There's a sticker on my 2000 rear (small sticker on aft side oft the diff housing) that says use LSD fluid only. So if your lucky it'll still have the sticker on yours. Or the door stick might tell ya something.
