It won't start P0180 and P0325

Hey there I got a problem and need some help.

I have a 2000 xterra 6 cylc and she won't start.

So far I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel sending unit, fuel relay switch and fuel filter. I have checked the gas line going to the block and I do have gas getting there when I turn the acc on and can hear the fuel pump go on.

Also I have sprayed some starting fluid in the air intake and she does crank over but dies off once the fumes are burnt.

There are two fuel lines I see when looking one looks like it goes behind the block (on the right) not sure where it goes too and this is the line that I get gas coming out of from the tank.

The another line (on the left) goes directly into the injector. I don't get any gas coming out of that one.

I do get two OBD codes one is P0180 (Fuel tank temperature sensor circuit range/performance) and P0325 (Knock sensor circuit, left bank.)

Any ideas?

your distributor electronics could be going or are gone bad, the electronics part ( camshaft sensor) sends out a signal to the computer to open and close the injectors, i.e. let fuel into the combustion chambers, if the signal is not getting to the computer then the injectors won't work, you by passed the injectors when you sprayed starter fluid in the in take and it started up so you know you have spark, what you don't have is a fuel supply from the injector into the combustion chamber, have the distributor checked out, not the cap and rotor the whole distributor body, search some threads on here and you will find others who have a bad distributor esp 2000-2001 with over about 120k miles on them. It happened to me.

Have you checked your psi on the fuel rail? My fuel pressure regulator went out on my 2001 the same time my knock sensor died too. One good thing is they are right next to each other.

Havent check the psi but when I took off the hose to check and make sure fuel was coming out it was pretty strong. There is 133k miles.

When I would attempt to start mine (really hard start btw) I def got a great smell of raw gas out my exhaust and my intake. Turns out my FPR died and was flooding cylinder 6 which in turn was pulling psi off my fuel rail. Dont really know if any of these are symptoms you may be having.

No smells or anything it just sits there and cranks and cranks with no starting. I ordered a distributor and going to try that next since there seems to be a consistent issue with this yr and the miles I have on it. Anyone out there have any pointers on changing the distributor other then the normal lining up the rotor?
