Headlights cloudy :(

My headlights are really cloudy looking. Has anyone restored them to near new condition, if so with what? 2000 X here. This is on sale right now at local automotive store: Meguiar's Headlight and Clear Plastic Restoration Kit with PlastX. Thanks in advance.

You can try that but I'm not familiar with how well it works. If you can find it, get Novus. The stuff is awesome on clear plastics, acrylics, etc. I use it all the time here at work and I keep meaning to try it on my headlights but I keep forgetting.

After only a year they were back to "normal" with the Meguiar's, all yellow and grey. They look horrible now, so time to do them again...

Try searching around for toothpaste, if you get the right kind it's supposed to work really well.

x2 on the toothpaste. I have heard it works well. There is a thread on Xterranation about it. No matter which one you choose it's going to come back, why not go the cheap route.

If someone kills you with your own gun, they should have to beat you to death with it, because at that point it should be empty.

I used some rubbing compound I found in my tool box and then finished up with some carnuba wax. Did the fog lights too. The bugs tend to stick less now and judging from the reactions of other nighttime drivers, the lights are considerably brighter.

Whole task took about 5-10 min. and seems to last about a year or more.

Just did my headlights yesterday with the Rain-X kit. Results were pretty good.
