Cargo Nets

I've noticed that cargo nets for bed trucks and such are generally cheap, while the ones specifically for the Xterra, while smaller, are much more expensive.

From what I've seen on ebay, the ones specifically for the Xterra tend to be $30 to $40 with another $20 or more in shipping, while general cargo nets are generally under $10, with $5 or $6 in shipping.

Is there a specific size net that I could get that fits the cargo basket and save money or is there hardware that's specific to the Xterra cargo nets that make them a necessity?

For MID $20's you could always go with Nissan nets.

did it come with the hooks or how did you mount it to the basket?

Thanks for the link, RacerXXL. Based on the instruction manual it looks like you need some special hardware for it, but maybe regular hooks will work as well.

There are so many companies offering Xterra cargo nets in different price ranges.

Google "Xterra cargo nets" and you'll get lots of links, select a perfect one for yourself with in your price range.

Isn't it simple?

Yeah metal hooks, works great though since the bottom of the basket is a grid the hooks can be hooked in anywhere on the surface. I usually use it to secure my camping stove on the roof (it makes a racket in the cab otherwise) once its netted down its solid.
