ECU reset???

So I pulled my cover off the air box, to have a look at how clean or dirty the throttle body was.
When I reinstalled the cover I forgot to plug in the MAF sensor. As soon as the Service Engine Soon light come on, I remembered pretty quick. I shut it down, popped the hood and plugged it back in. But the light has not gone out!!!

Other vehicles, I have disconnected the battery. I have tried this, but still on.

is there a way to reset the ECU?

I had something like that. Found an aswer on this forum a while back. I remember you had to turn the ignition one click over 3 or 4 times and then it cleared the SES light.

I only started it breifly with it unplugged. I noticed the light on right away and shut it off. I didn't notice any effect in having it unplugged.

I disconnected the battery overnight, and walla... no more light.

thanks for the info
