Question No Air Shocks for 2013 Xterra?

I have the S model and we want to buy a tent trailer. Even with mild loads in the trunk when I hit a dip in the road the rear end bottoms out on the frame. I'd like air shocks so I can stiffen the ride when towing but they are not available to buy. The only reason I thought of these is because as kid my father had them on our 1986 Bronco II for towing a trailer.

What are other options?

There are air springs that bolt in above the leaf springs. Run about $250 a set. Will be installing a set before this towing season.

Better than air shocks since they don't interfere with the damping function of the shocks.
