Question for car audio experts.

I have an old pioneer deck installed in my 2003 se rockford package. It runs through a line level converter. As of recently the rear left speaker/sub is cutting out. I dismantled everything and If i had to guess, there is a broken contact somewhere in the head unit.

In my younger days I would foam at the mouth given the need to install a new car stereo. Now I have no interest in spending money on an upgrade. So now for my question.

Is it possible to run both rear channels off of the Right side rear signal? I would split the signal before it enters the line out converter. Or is that going to cause bigger issues requiring me to open my wallet wider?

Thanks
Jay

Yes, if the LOC is what's gone bad only on one side, then you can use the other side. The only con you'll have is that your balance for the subs will be off, preventing you from being able to fade left or right.
