Question Engine Codes, post repair at local shop

Hey all,

So I had my 02 Xterra in for a no start issue the other day. Prior to the replacement of the battery and starter I scanned the truck and found these codes:
P0328-Knock Sensor/Circuit B1
P0174-Fuel System Lean

They stated nothing about the codes I provided them and told me my battery needed to be changed and my starter replaced so I told them to go ahead and do the work. I go the truck back later that evening and it ran but rough started and my electrical seemed a bit wonky ie. the remote would not unlock the tailgate but the inside switch would, that never happened before. I ran it for a day for about 25kms. It sat the next two days and again no start but with additional codes now:
P0420-Catalyst System Bank 1
P0600-A/T Communication Line

Any thoughts ??

Thanks all!

The P0600 is probably due to low voltage considering the other repairs that needed to be done. The lean condition is what is most likely causing the P0420. I made the mistake of replacing my catalytic converter and it didnt get rid of the P0420 code. Try solving the lean condition before tackling the P0420. As of for the knock sensor they are almost always defective in the Gen 1 xterras. Your best bet would be to bypass or relocate the Knock sensor.
