Xterra bogs down when you hit the gas

I recently bought a 2002 Xterra that needed a new distributor so we replaced it. I was able to drive it for 2 days with no problem. The second day I was driving home from work and I lost all speed and the truck died. When we start the truck and press the gas, it seems like it wants to die and it takes forever to get from 0-40. I am at a loss on what is wrong with it. Someone please help!!!!

First guess is a vacuum leak. Vacuum hoses would be what I would check first. Then it gets more complicated.
