If your Nissan or Infiniti with the RE5R05R transmission and you get a P1757 code there are 2 ways to fix this problem.
One is to change the Front Brake Solenoid (you can test the solenoid its should read 6.3 or 6.8 ohms)
More than likely it is not the solenoid. The problem is the connector tab on the TCM for the front brake solenoid.
To get to this tab you have to pull down the valve body (drain fluid, pull off transmission pan, unplug wires, remove valvebody)
Remove all seven solenoids, remove the TCM (black plastic case with wires coming out of it, all seven solenoids are plugged into this thing)
Remove the black cover and you will see an electrical board. Lift the tab that connects to the front brake solenoid, you will see one of the tabs is broken. Its copper so it can be resoldered. I am posting this because I went through replacing solenoids and pulling out my hair for weeks over repair estimates of $2000 from my dealer. So I did some research and I found 3 videos documenting this same problem on youtube. Its seems like this is a common and known problem because my valve body even had an extra rubber cushion under the front brake solenoid. Only the front brake solenoid has this rubber cushion so Nissan knows about this issue. Apparently this solenoid rocks when it is open or closed causing the tab to break. So before you spend thousands replacing the valvebody or TMC please have someone pull the valvebody and check this. Any repair shop can pull it down for you.
