It seems like a simple answer, but anything to watch out for while changing out the hood? I know alignment is key. Current hood has ALOT of hail damage and I found a hood already painted for $300 bucks.
Have a friend to help when removing the hood. It is only four bolts but there is also some sealant around the hinge that will need to be released usually by gently pulling up on the hood from the bottom of the hinges. Install the new one with the bolts hand tight and carefully lower it down to check for alignment without latching the hood. After you are satisfied that you have the proper gaps, then tighten it down completely.
