Hey all,
So I've been toying with the idea of listing my 2000 Nissan Xterra with 130,000 on the clock, 5spd, 4wd etc and going for something newer. I'm considering a 2005-2008 Nissan Xterra or Frontier, 6 spd, 4wd. I'm looking for the upgrade because of power needs (though I'd like to hear peoples thoughts) and a newer base to start with since I will likely keep this next car for its entire life since I am sold on the platform.
I thought I'd keep the 2000 forever, but unfortunately after many trips for skiing, offroading and mountain biking, I just need the extra umph to get up to freeway speeds as well as commute comfortably every day. I'm not going to go overboard on offroad upgrades since mostly I have found I like exploring forest service roads and camping out of my rig as opposed to rock crawling. So, am I sane for thinking about making the switch? Is it worth it or am I looking at negligible gains from a 2nd gen?
Thoughts and comments would be awesome!
Cheers
