2000 Xterra headlights

3 years ago, my son got a 2000 Xterra. He spent time repainting the bumpers and trim.
Tried polishing the headlights, but they faded after a few months. With the way the Xterra looks, I feel like just buying
new headlights for him.

Any recommendations? I want real ones or at least GOOD aftermarket replacements (not cheap Chinese knockoffs).
They are the square kind of headlights.

If I get replacements, they should look good for at least 5 years, right?

I have not replaced the headlights on my Xterra, but I did put some TYC headlights from rockauto on my Colorado. 3 years later they still look good. I have recently noticed what looks like the clear coat? is starting to flake off of the daytime running lights now, but they are not fading.

Changing the old yellowed headlights made a huge difference in the appearance of the truck.

Check out rockauto. They have TYC and Dorman, both of which would be decent quality. It looks like you could get a pair for under $100 from them.

Make sure to aim the lights after install.

as a side not if you do a wet sand and buff and polish to clean them up when your done spray some 3M clearcoat over them it will make them last much longer.
but yea I have the Dorman ones on my truck there holding up pretty well. i want to disassemble them to do a projector conversion but doubt it will ever happen.

I put a brand new set of TYC ones on my '01 and I'm really happy with them. I think they were around $30 each from Rock Auto and even came with new bulbs.

Had to go with Dorman. I am also getting a pair for my daughters car... BUT TYC only has the lens!

I want the whole assembly! Pop and swap!
