So my wife's 2002 xterra has been stuttering a bit when idling and I've been checking things out and was going to check her egr valve to see if it needed to be replaced, however, it seems like there is no valve on her car. The brackets are there, but there's no hose or actual egr valve. Is this just something that wasn't in all 2002 xterras? Or is there a chance the previous owner may have removed it?
So does that mean it doesn't need one and uses some other form of recirculating the uncombusted fumes? Or do I now need to purchase and install one for recirculation?
No they were put on California, Canadian and few other trucks if someone took it off, your ECM would show a code that it was not working. With no codes i would think your truck came with out one.
