Hello All,
Have a 2006 white Nissan Xterra. The paint has started to peel around the door windows and front windshield. Checked into getting a new paint job, but not want to sink that kind of money into it. However, want to keep it looking good. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem? Thanks in advance!
Not really. For full wraps there really isn't a heavy duty option.
As for scratches it works a lot like paint. If it can scratch your paint it can scratch the vinyl. Usually if a panel gets damaged we replace only the damaged panel. Not the whole car.
The cost wouldn't change too much. As for Rhino liner. I don't think it would adhere to the vinyl very well. Bed liner really needs a rough metal surface to stick the best.
Thank you for your informative postings on this technique. I have the same problem with my 2001 baby girl, and feel ashamed to drive he because I don’t want to appear neglectful of her care. The primer is there, but the white paint just flakes off. It is mainly around the windows, windshield, and rear hatch.
It is nice to learn about new things. I’ve seen wraps and haven’t read about them until now.
Thank you, once again.
Regards...
I would have gotten tired of answering you way before he did......
