So I want guys who know what there talking about here not hunches not to be rude but got a lot of building in short time frame for a Mudd run Lol
So first what's the difference between standard and auto transfer cases and can I make the standard one work with my auto case that's no good
OK second what's the issue if I put a 4.9 gearing in the front of my x as I've done a lot of damage to my 4.6 diff and can't find one I got a month to build and limited funds so let's see if we can get me on the right path
You cannot run different gears in the front and rear differentials. Transfer case runs same output to both front and rear differentials. Only instant binding with breakage will occur.

Yes. You can jack up both rear tires and put it in neutral and spin the rear drive shaft and count how many revolutions the tires spin to one full revolution of the drive shaft. That will give you the ratio. If you have 4.6 then it'll look like 4 and a half spins and if it's 4.9 then it'll look like 5.
A 4.6 gearing will spin the tires 4.6 times to one drive shaft revolution.
Has any one ever figure out how to get the vent out if the front diff my used one is rotted off what's gonna happen if I plug it off
