Thanks for asking! After several failed attempts at getting it started, I asked my mechanic to take a look

He said that he had no idea how it happened, but the timing was EXACTLY 180 degrees out. He said my induction light may be faulty. I've never heard of someone using an induction light and NOT had it done right.
I'll be throwing away the induction light regardless.

The lower timing belt cover was destroyed by the bad harmonic balancer, to the point where it can't just be bent back into shape. I'm waiting for that part to arrive. Once that's all put back together, she should run just fine. Thanks again for following up.

PHEW!

After all this crap, the new lower timing belt cover is back on, timing is set, new plugs, distributor, and harmonic balancer are installed, and she's running like a charm.

Next on the docket:
1. replace that 16 year old fuel filter
2. Resonator Delete
3. Minor body work

Sounds like something to do with cleaning the engine. Wet distributor or wires.

Thanks; I thought this might be the issue as well, but it turned out to be the timing.
