There are several DIY guides on headliner reworks here, they look fairly straightforward. I'll take it off, strip it, probably bond a thin foam sheet on it and lay some nice leathery vinyl as a finish. Interior is beige (or brown? or tan? or mocha? hell if I know what's color and what's filth) right now - I'm thinking of redoing it all in black and red, from floor to the headliner. I'd love to buy you a beer and pick your brain on removing and repainting the dash

Yeah, I have it for my own purposes (I'm building a couple more Xterras), but if I have something you need and I don't need it, I'm happy to help.

Cool. I've looked at a couple of those in the past (I think on YouTube), but it looks reasonably time consuming and results are questionable (without experience and good quality parts). Does it require special tools?

Yeah, I'll PM you my number. Let's chat. I have all the color codes, etc. that will help you.
