brand new to the forum. I purchased a '12 Pro4X last October from a local dealer, and I'm looking to add an affordable lift to the truck. I don't want anything that will being trouble with the axles, or boots etc...something relatively easy (average garage) that I can do in my driveway without too many special tool. Im looking at the readylift 2.5/1.5 SST...but Im open to suggestions.
To get to some local hunting areas and camps...I need a mild lift and larger tires. I don't want to go too crazy and changing axles, welding, cutting or drilling. Just looking for a good 1.5-2" lift front and rear that's easy to install...and doesn't sacrifice the daily usability of the truck. Thanks!

32's (265/75/16) were a stock tire size option for 2005 - 2014 X's.
You can mount 33's stock with no lift. (285/75/16, 305/70/16, etc)

An SL will list the stock size as what it fits as an SL doesn't really increase tire room, except at ride height/parked at the mall, etc.
What that kit does is raise the rear 1.5" and the front 2.5". Its a leveling kit.
As you describe off road use (light), you'd benefit more from added wheel travel....and, this kit uses your stock shocks, which are what is mostly limiting your rear wheel travel.
The rear shackle is fine, no problems...but, adding longer shocks would make you less likely to get stuck...and be able to take advantage of the longer shackle's wider swing arc.
When I read about the lift it listed max tire size after the lift as 32's...kinda made me look a lil...well...dumb lol!
Some of the terrain I ride over now touches the mud flaps and under the doors...hoping that a mild body lift and larger (33's) tires lol...would help out. I really don't want to get too costly with the upgrade at all...
any suggestions on a good kit/tires that would work well?

SLIDERS to protect your rocker panels/contact areas under there....would be the BEST solution, as you will NEVER lift so high you'd NEVER contact.
If you do some SHRINKING BACK of the inner front fender well's plastic liner, 33's fit. (A blow dryer/heat gun works fine, its referred to as "the Melt Mod" if you want to search it)
A 33" tire would essentially stick out ~ 1/2" farther in radius.
