Just bought an 01 xterra with 77,ooo . Manual says change the timing belt at 105k BUT should I be concerned over the age of the belt ?????
Thanks in advance for your help.
How many hours does it takes to do a full timing belt plus water pump replacement at home? And how many hours of labor would i expect from a mechanic to do this?
Well, I changed my head gaskets and ended up needing to reseal the intake... So I know the top end of my engine well. With the right tools at hand I can change it in about 4 hours. I would say a mechanic would charge 8'ish.
