Info: 2002 Nissan Xterra XE w/ 151k miles. Recent work includes Trans flush, oil change, both diff fluid changes, air filter, cabin air filter, PCV valve, and SeaFoam.
The problem happens randomly sometimes but its always warm when it happens. I have tried pulling codes but they change everytime I read them pretty much. When I first bought it, it had the following codes, Knock sensor, CKP sensor(both position A and reg code), Oxygen Sensor (3 of them). I know the knock sensor is to be taken lightly as I had another and did the mod and never had an issue with the code again and will do the same with this one shortly. The most recent time I pulled the codes on my scanner the o2 sensor codes were gone but the crankshaft sensor codes were still present. I have the part but couldn't reach the bracket to replace it and gave up after a few minutes. My question is, would this cause my problem. The idle is fine until I get to a stop light and then it drops to 700 or so and almost stalls but still hasn't completely yet thankfully. I checked the distributor as its the original, but it seemed to be clean with no issues. If anyone has any other suggestions I am open. I also have an exhaust leak as the muffler is cracked but I have another on the way. Also would the o2 sensors cause any idling issues? Thanks in advance.
