you all have it with the #6 , with my 2009/x V6 it is the #1 plug. why do they do this. i think they do it for a reason, one we all may never know, btw-has anyone figured out how to get to the #1 on my Xterra, yet? just asking. but i can figure is, there is a very large piece of plastic just over it, what it is i dont know, yet. some sort of air intake i would think, and one here on this thread know what that item is over the #1 plug?
well i would think, five new is better then 6 old, right? when i first saw where they put the access to that plug, i was like! what the heck? and oh ya, good luck when ya do get to that 6th spark plug.
So I just got my Xterra, I'm probably going to replace the valve cover gaskets and was wondering about how to get to the 6th plug, if I'm removing the manifold to do the gaskets if there enough room to replace that 6th plug?
If you're talking upper intake, yeah it gives you room. Those two little PIA hoses on the back of it just cut and get new ones, they are really hard to disconnect. Don't forget to drain down the coolent as it'll run everywhere when you cut them.
A helpful video I found on how to remove it another way.
