Wonky... now that is really cold. But alright resetting the ECU is something like insert the key and turn it to on, but don't actually crank it. Leave it in the "on position" for about five seconds then turn it off. Leave if off for about fifteen more seconds then turn it back to on for another few seconds before actually cranking the engine over.

Ok I went ahead and looked up some other threads to verify this, and there's a post over at NewX that is much more complicated on how to reset but it might work for you. Here's the link.

Hope that helps!

Sounds like just a dead battery to me. My gauges will bounce all over as well, if the battery is to low and I try to start it (mine is a 2nd gen as well). I had mine do the same thing from cold temps a few weeks ago. Pull the battery, charge it up real good and try it again. Everything should be just fine. If it were the transponder system, it would crank over no problem all day, it just wouldn't fire.

yea tried charging battery but it was a no go. got it towed to dealer cost 65 bucks, turns out it was the black box thing that connects on top of the positive post.. theres a fuse or a couple of fuses in there and one was blown, also replaced battery cus it was pretty old and crappy lol. 350 for total fix with parts. tow was extra lol. but thank your for the replies they were very informative! Great info to know!
